About this club:

Since 1983, the Jayne Marie Dancing School has been a place where children in Dacorum can immerse themselves in the world of dance, fostering self-confidence and a love for various dance forms. Led by Miss Jayne and her team of experienced teachers, the school offers a diverse range of classes throughout the week in Hemel Hempstead and Berkhamsted. At the core of the school's activities is classical ballet, where children as young as two are introduced to the fundamental positions and movements, progressing through grades and examinations. While the school encourages a disciplined and professional approach to dancing, the primary focus is on ensuring that children thoroughly enjoy themselves. From classical ballet to modern, tap, street, contemporary, drama, and musical theatre, JMDS provides a comprehensive platform for children to explore and excel in various dance forms. The school also offers opportunities for students to showcase their individual talents through in-house choreography competitions and participation in the annual British Arts Awards competition, where JMDS has a strong track record. Miss Jayne's accolades, including the British Arts Teacher of the Year award and the school's numerous wins in the British Arts trophy, are a testament to the exceptional training and nurturing environment provided at the Jayne Marie Dancing School.
